Nice to meet you!

I'm XueYan (Sue) Chen.

Currently a Master's student in the Human-Centered Design and Engineering program at the University of Washington. Prior to that, I spent 4 years in my undergrad studying and researching how people learn and think.
My design philosophy? Designing for human behaviors — as opposed to system behaviors. The process of demystifying complex design challenges into simple and delightful solutions is what intrigues me the most in the UX world. I'm especially passionate about designing for social goods and cross-cultural markets.
Ask me about how the brain reads, what I bake today, or quiz me anything from Modern Family (a HUGE fan since 11 years ago :)

What do I do other than design, more design!

Check out my most recent work: Acrylic "Lamp"
Concept: Christmas is coming!🎄❄️🎅  So, I created a a functional lamp that stems from the idea of a snow globe.

Always happy to chat!
